Obituary LeRoy M. Navarrette, 49, former resident, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home in Artesia, NM. Visitation will be 3:00 PM 5:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. LeRoy M. Navarrette was born July 26, 1968 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Alonso O. and Jessie (Murillo) Navarrete. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1987. LeRoy worked as a welder and heavy equipment operator in the oil field. He enjoyed horses and team roping. LeRoy was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie M. Navarrette. Survivors are his sons: LeRoy Navarrette, Jr. and wife, Justine and Joshua Navarrette; daughters: Cheyenne Navarrette and Alexis Isbell; one granddaughter; parents, Alonso and Jessie Navarrette; brothers:Alonso Navarrette, Jr. and wife, Christina and Ray Dominguez and wife, Brenda;girlfriend, Terry Rodriguez and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Erick Navarrette, Casey Navarrette, Ray Dominguez, Lonnie Navarrette, Richard Murillo, Toribio A. Murillo, Jr., Ray Murillo and Aaron Navarrette.
