Obituary
Lazara G. Molina, 84, of Russell Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020. Lazara was born on October 15, 1935, in Loving, New Mexico to Manuel and Benita Gonzales.
Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Following, graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Santa Catarina Cemetery Carlsbad, NM with Deacon Tony Dominguez officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lazara was raised in the Carlsbad area, working on the family farm. After she married Felipe Molina on June 7, 1950 in Pecos, TX they continued farming. Together they owned and operated several farms in Eddy county, all while raising nine children with a great work ethic. Lazara was a strong woman with a perfect work ethic. She enjoyed baking and sewing, turning countless memories and clothing into blanket for her family.Through her warm conversations, she gave the best advice. Lazara was superwoman, she could do anything she put her mind to. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Lazara is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Gonzales; mother, Benita Gonzales; husband, Felipe Molina, Sr.; son, Rogelio Molina; granddaughter, Angelia Molina; brother, Manuel Gonzales, Jr.; and sister, Ofelia Vera.
Lazara is survived by her daughter Corina Molina of Carlsbad, NM; son, Raul Molina and wife, Dolores of Carlsbad, NM; son, Felipe Molina, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; son, Samuel Molina and wife, Lina of Carlsbad, NM; son, Ismael Molina and wife, Lyla of Loving, NM; son, Benito Molina of Carlsbad, NM; son, Abel Molina and husband, Billy of Dallas, TX; daughter, Carol Molina of Carlsbad, NM; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Lopez of Sacramento, CA; sister, Elfida Martinez of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Olivia Shaner of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews
