Laura Mae McCormick

Laura Mae McCormick, 34, of Pinon, New Mexico, passed away October 11, 2023.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, Carlsbad, NM.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, October 23, 2023 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God, 1507 W. Hermosa Drive, Artesia, NM. Graveside services will follow in Pinon Cemetery, Pinon, NM.  There will be a potluck at the Pinon Clubhouse immediately following the burial.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Laura was born February 21, 1989 in Greeley, Colorado to Larry and Christina (Fry) Diebert.  She graduated from Roswell High School in 2008.  Laura married Carl McCormick January 21, 2015.  She worked as a CNA for several years, but more importantly Laura loved being a mom and taking care of their home.  Her children were her life.  Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Christina Diebert.

Survivors are her husband, Carl McCormick; daughter, Brieanna McCormick and Blaine; sons: Cody McCormick and wife, Courtney, Austin McCormick and wife, Gracie, Ryan Stevenson, Cooper McCormick; grandson, Quin and brother, Bob Diebert.

Pallbearers will be Deopp Crockett, Steven Kennedy, Cody McCormick, Austin McCormick, Rachel Nelson and Kayla Bennett.
