Obituary Laura Sandate Brown, 56, of Taos Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at River of Life Church with Pastor Ramon V. Florez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Laura Sandate Brown was born September 10, 1961 in Carlsbad, NM and raised in Orange County, California where she graduated from Estancia High School in 1979 in Costa Mesa, California. She was a great athlete playing varsity CIF champion in badminton. Laura was a hard worker and a wonderful cook. She loved her family and was always supportive of them. Laura was a truly giving wife, daughter, mother and sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon H. Sandate and brother, Michael Sandate. Survivors are her husband, Patrick Brown; daughters: Monique Kehrman and husband, Joseph, Candice Gallegos and husband, Tony and Jessica Arredondo; mother, Emma Sandate; grandchildren: Sade Sandate Hall, Jacqueline Flores, Charlene Gallegos, Lyric Arredondo and Melody Arredondo; brother, Leon Sandate and wife, Leslie; sister, Liza Sandate and numerous nieces and nephews.
