Latrell Cunningham Kidd

Obituary Hazel Latrell Kidd was born June 13, 1930 in Dallas County, Texas to Sammie and Lois Cunningham. She graduated from San Angelo High School and then married Wiley Buford Kidd November 4, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister, Elaine. Latrell is survived by her four children: Rosemary and husband, James Wilkie, Lanny and wife, Doris Kidd, David and wife, Rhonda Kidd, Tim and wife, Louise Kidd; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandsons; brother, Sammie Cunningham and numerous nieces and nephews. Latrell was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a thrifty homemaker who loved to cook, paint, and sew and make all sorts of fun crafty things with the young people in her life. She loved spending time outside gardening, fishing and camping with her family. She was an active church member and supporter of missions and outreach. She would open her arms and home to those in need. She was a home healthcare giver for many years and loved the families she worked with. Wiley was her soulmate and companion for 57 years. She missed him desperately everyday after his death in 2004. They made a formidable and complimentary team. On what would have been his 98th birthday, she joined him in their Forever Home, rejoicing in the Glory and Grace of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pallbearers will be Mark Wilkie, Joseph Kidd, Jacob Kidd, Aaron Kidd, Daniel Kidd and Sarah Kidd. Honorary pallbearers are Micah Wilkie, Lanesia Shea, Becky Argo, Debra Simmons, Chris Cunningham and Thomas Cunningham. Visitation will be 4 PM 6 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 9 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at New Song Christian Fellowship with Pastor John A. Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
