Larry Don York

Larry Don York, 78, passed away December 27, 2021 at Goodlife Assisted Living. Visitation will be 5 PM – 6 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Pastor Phillip Price officiating.

Larry Don was born September 24, 1943 in Carlsbad, NM to Elmer and Bertha (Masterson) York. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1961. Larry Don served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Potash Company of America for 28 years. Larry Don then worked for the State of New Mexico as an environmental monitor for many years. He was an avid rock hound, photographer and enjoyed the outdoors. Larry Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary York.
Survivors are his sister, Shirley Goff and numerous nieces and nephews. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
