Larry "Weno" O. Saiz

Larry O. "Weno" Saiz, 49, of Artesia, NM, passed away Thursday April 24, 2014. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2014, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 2:00 PM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Larry O. "Weno" Saiz was born May 28, 1964 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Merced J. and Elisa (Orona) Saiz. He grew up in Carlsbad. Larry owned and operated L/S mobile Auto Repair for the past year. He previously worked as an auto mechanic. Larry loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He always liked to joke around and dance, especially in the morning. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are daughters: Naomi Saiz of Artesia, NM, Evelyn Lard and husband, Kyle of Lake Arthur, NM, Amanda Lodoza and husband, Carlos of Lake Arthur, NM, Priscilla Saiz of Lake Arthur, NM; sister, Sylvia Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Miranda, Brianna, Ciara, Mireya, Mya, Brooke, Brayden; niece, Ashley Saiz; nephew, Gerold Saiz; great-nephew, Larry; great-niece, Mercedez and fiance, Belinda Martinez of Carlsbad, NM. Pallbearers will be Melissa Davis, MaryLou Gutierrez, Trina Salmon, Jolene Brownlee, Nina Gomez, Susie Delgado. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Lopez, Damian Lopez, Gerold Saiz, Miguel Orona, Al Martinez, Mario Moreno, Roy Saiz, Oscar Colorado, Jr. and Ivan Colorado. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
