Larry J. Snelson

Larry J. Snelson, 40, of Pate Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away April 9, 2010 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Cremation has taken place there will be no visitation. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2010, 10:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Boyd officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Larry J. Snelson was born May 15, 1969 in Carlsbad, NM to T.J. and Gwyn (Anderson) Snelson. He graduated from CHS in 1988. Larry worked in various jobs and his love was writing, playing music, and most of all spending time with his kids. He is survived by his daughters: Haley Snelson of Carlsbad, NM and Jolee Snelson of Carlsbad, NM; step-sons: Preston Thompson of Carlsbad, NM and Dalton Johnson of Carlsbad, NM; step-daughter: Paige Fredrerick of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Paulette Burkham and husband, Sammy of Loving, NM; Susan Thompson and husband, Chuck of Moriarty, NM; Cheryl Vlosich and husband Ed of Amarillo, TX; Dinah Negrete and husband Jimmy of Carlsbad, NM; and Deanna Welch and husband, Mike of Carlsbad, NM; brother: Billy Snelson of Carlsbad, NM; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
