Larry Granger

Larry Granger, 61, of Hill Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 7:30 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2013, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Larry Granger was born April 27, 1952 in Lovington, NM to Joe and Mary (Bernal) Granger, II. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1970. Larry had a passion for music and recorded several albums with his friends and brothers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and entertaining the ladies. Larry worked in construction with his family all of his life and his siblings considered him their bodyguard. Survivors are two sons: Larry Granger, Jr. of Clovis, NM, Randy Granger of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughter, Randika Granger of Hobbs, NM; great-granddaughter, Jalynn Armendariz; father, Joe Granger of Carlsbad, NM; siblings: Betty Granger, Delma Buendia and husband, Joe, Jerry Granger, Gary Granger, Jody Granger and wife, Lisa, Charlie Granger and wife, Angela, Lonnie Granger and wife, Cynthia, Eddie Granger, Edmund Granger and wife, Maryann, all of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Larry Granger, Jr., Jerry Granger, Jody Granger, Charlie Granger, Lonnie Granger, Eddie Granger and Edmund Granger.
