Kenneth Eugene "Gene" White

Kenneth Eugene “Gene” White, 88, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on June 29, 2022 at the Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, NM. Gene was born on July 31, 1933, in Carlsbad, NM to Kenneth and Opal (Sessom) White.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Paul White; mother, Opal (Sessom) Larrentree; first wife, Leta (Powell) White; brother, Dean White; and stepsister, Ann Ferrell.

Gene is survived by his wife, Cathy White of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Jan Bryant and husband, Grady of Texas; three children: David White of Thailand and wife Joyce of Phoenix, AZ; Tommy White of Carlsbad, NM; and Robyn Rust of Carlsbad, NM; stepson, Dallas C. Haubert and wife, Haley of Midland, TX; grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandsons, and nieces and nephews.

Gene enjoyed fishing, playing bluegrass and country western music, playing his acoustic guitar, and he could fix just about anything. He was thankful he had two loves in his life. His first wife Leta who bore him three children and Cathy. He loved both of them with his heart and soul.
