Kenneth Allen Smith

Kenneth Allen Smith, 73, of N. Main Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Lakeview Christian Home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. There will be no public services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Kenneth Allen Smith was born September 9, 1939 in Clovis, NM to C. D. and Hazel (Austin) Smith. He moved to Carlsbad as a young boy and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1957. Kenny married Sandra Lee Andrews on April 27, 1959 in Pecos, TX. He worked for US Potash for several years. Kenny was in the antique business over 40 years which was a hobby and business he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. Kenny loved to play ping-pong, fishing and arrowhead hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Sandra Lee Smith of Carlsbad, NM; two sons: Allen Lee Smith and wife, Patty of Carlsbad, NM, Roy Dale Smith and wife, Gina of Carlsbad, NM; six grandchildren: Cody Smith, Aaron Smith, Kelly Smith, Kevin Smith, Jimmy Smith, Michael Smith; three brothers: Charlie Smith of Odessa, TX, Don Smith of Albuquerque, NM, Gary Smith of Cincinatti, Ohio; sister, Marilyn Smith of Montgomery, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.
