Kenneth McClure Willis, Sr., 93, of 10th Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation, a private burial was in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Kenneth McClure Willis, Sr. was born January 12, 1921 in Alto, Texas to Otho and Myrtie (McClure) Willis. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reba Willis; four sisters; two brothers and daughter-in-law, Patsy Willis. Survivors are his children: Robert Willis of Las Cruces, NM, Curtis Downey of Albuquerque, NM, Shelly Wood of Lakeview, Arkansas, Kenneth Willis, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; daughter-in-law, Linda Downey of Carlsbad, NM; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brother, James Willis of Truth or Consequences, NM.
