Katrina L. Hart

Katrina L. Hart, 92, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Landsun Homes. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Katrina L. Hart was born in Meredith, New York. She graduated from Morris C. S. in 1938 and attended Ithaca College of Music. Katrina played several instruments but her special love was for the piano. She lived many years in Columbus, OH and Knoxville, Tennessee before retiring to Carlsbad. In recent years she shared her music at San Jose Senior Center in Carlsbad and resided at Landsun Homes in her last years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Hart in 1986; parents; brother, Leroy in 1965 and brother, Ralph in 2012. She is survived by sisters: Frieda Gibbous of Naples, NY, Rosemary Fugle and husband, Francis of Livonia, NY and many nieces and nephews. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
