June Lee, 77, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at Carlsbad Medical Center.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

June was born January 19, 1946 in Roswell, NM to Denver and Lois (Johnson) Briggs. She attended Roswell High School.  June married Derald Lee in 1963.  She dedicated her working years as a social worker for Landsun Homes and Lakeview Christian Home.  June loved caring for her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Derald Lee; brother, Wylie Briggs; great-grandson, Timothy Mendoza.

Survivors are her sons: Randy Lee and wife, Belinda, Mike Lee and wife, Vicky, Ronnie Lee and wife, Brandy; grandchildren: Gwen, Mario, Ashley, Jessica, Travis, Brandon, Megan, Mika, Julia, Asher and Lachlan; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Jordan, Emma, Mya, Connor, Maddax, Autumn, Axel, Kairi, Jaxton and three on the way; great-great-grandchildren: Jayde, Everleigh, Timothy, Roman, Brielle and one on the way; brothers: David Briggs and wife, Gloria, Hershel Briggs; sister, Linda Carver and husband, Joe and numerous nieces and nephews.
