Judy Baker, 77, of East London Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Lakeview Christian Home.
There will be no public visitaiton, cremaiton will take place
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico with Pastor Jimmy Ryan officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Judy Baker was born May 27, 1938 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She married Billy Jack Baker in Lubbock, TX. Judy drove a school bus for the Loving Independent School District for many years. Later becoming a waitress and eventually owned the Loving Truck Stop Cafe. Judy loved animals, especially horses and never turned down the opportunity to be with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Mary Jane (Jones) Goff; husband, Billy Jack Baker; son, Roy Lee Baker and sisters: Marie London and Edna Doughty.
Survivors are her daughters: Tonye Baker Powell and husband, Gary of Loving, NM, Tracye Spears and husband, Jimmy of Carlsbad, NM; grandson, Cody Dean Baker and wife, Elizabeth of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Shae Baker of Carlsbad, NM, Alexander Dean Baker of Carlsbad, NM and friends, Wayne and Laura Ann Allan and Georgia Duncan.
