Juanita Hazel Losoya

Juanita Hazel Losoya, 66, of Juarez Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 24, 2009 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation. A vigil is scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2009, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Juanita was born March 8, 1943 to Lino and Amelia (Alvarez) Rodriguez. She married Ernest Losoya May 6, 1970 in Carlsbad, NM. Juanita was a member of the Catholic Dauthers of the Americas where she was involved in the San Jose Court and the St. Edward Court. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents who raised her, Manuel and Juana Bustillo's, and one brother Robert Joe Rodriguez. Survivors include her husband Ernest Losoya of Carlsbad, NM; two daughters Ide Larez and husband, Robert of Carlsbad, NM and Carla Losoya of Carlsbad, NM; two grandsons Ernest and Juan Larez; two sisters Mary Helen Ruiz and Otila Bonilla and four brothers Lino Rodriguez, Jr., Raymond Rodriguez, Ernest Rodriguez, Edward Rodriguez. Pallbearers will be Charles Foster, Sr., Augustine Estrada, Robert Lopez, Ernest Larez and Mark Walterscheid. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
