Juan A. Venegas

Juan A. Venegas, 41, of W. Riverside Drive, passed away August 2, 2022 at his home.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday, August 15, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel followed by a vigil at 6:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.

Juan was born March 24, 1981 in Carlsbad, NM to Remigio and Susana (Lara) Venegas.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1999.  He worked as a cook for many years then began working in the oilfield.  Juan loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling to Mexico to visit family and friends.  He loved spending time with his family, cooking and enjoying his time with them.  Juan will be missed by all who loved him.

Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Juarez Venegas of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Juan Venegas, Jr., Jose Venegas and Jesus Venegas, all of Carlsbad, NM; parents: Remigio and Susana Venegas of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Abelina Venegas and partner of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Israel Venegas and partner, Ricardo Venegas and wife, Vanessa, all of Carlsbad, NM; father-in-law, Manuel Juarez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ricardo Venegas, Israel Venegas, Jacob Juarez, Mario Silva, Robbie Jacquez and Barry Dorado.  Honorary pallbearers are his sons: Juan Venegas, Jr., Jose Venegas and Jesus Venegas.
