Joyce McAlexander Marshall

Joyce McAlexander Marshall, 83, of W. Pierce Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Lakeview Christian Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Joyce McAlexander Marshall was born September 17, 1932 in McPaul, Iowa to Jack and Minnie (Tillman) McAlexander. She graduated from high school in Thurman, Iowa. Joyce married Bob Marshall March 28, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Carlsbad in 1975. Joyce enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and their many other activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Marshall; son, Wally Marshall; brothers: Bruce and Omer McAlexander. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeview Christian Home for the love and care they showed Joyce. Survivors are her children: Bruce Marshall and wife, Annie of Carlsbad, NM, Bobbi Palmer and husband, Deryl of Laughlin, Nevada, Vicki Watson and husband, Travis of Carlsbad, NM, Brian Marshall and wife, Dina of Carlsbad, NM; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Eloise Moore of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
