Joyce E. Brazeal

Joyce E. Brazeal, 54, of Jewel Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lubbock, Texas. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2015, 1:00 PM, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ with Phil Lairson officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Joyce E. Brazeal was born July 3, 1960 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jim and Barbara (McGinnis) Runkle. She graduated form Eddy Beauty College and worked at JC Penney's Salon for several years. Joyce later enjoyed work on the farm and tending to her animals. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Runkle. Survivors are her husband, John W. Brazeal of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Kristen Steward and husband, William of Carlsbad, NM, Candace Freeman and husband, Glen Freeman, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; son, John E. Brazeal; grandchildren: Emilee, Ethan, Shalie, Ellee, Damien, Willliam, Isaac, Johnathan, Austin, Peytan, Aidan; father, Jim Runkle and wife, Linda of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Debbie Shelton and husband, Glynn of Carlsbad, NM, Terri Chapman and husband, Jim of Beeville, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
