Joyce Back

Joyce Back, 66, of Utah Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 10:00 AM, at First Christian Church with Rev. David Wilson Rogers officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Joyce Back was born February 21, 1945 in Green County, Ohio to Alvin and Nelma (Whitt) Eldridge. She married Homer Back on June 17, 1962 in Fairborn, Ohio. They moved to Carlsbad in 1981. Joyce was adored and loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Loretta Eldridge and Phyllis Williams. Survivors are her husband, Homer Back of Carlsbad, NM; four children: David Back of Carlsbad, NM, Tammy Miller of Jamestown, Ohio, Delinda Elms of Carlsbad, NM, Richard Back of Orange, TX; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;four sisters: Loberta Barnett of Ocala, Florida, Shirley Watts of Xenia, Ohio, Jackie Back of Bardstown, KY, Regina Barnett of Zenia, Ohio; brother, Terry Eldridge of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
