Josie Aldaco, 63, of Iris Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her nephew's home in Carlsbad.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
A vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Josie Aldaco was born December 15, 1953 in Loving, New Mexico to Juanita Aldaco. She graduated from Carlsbad High School. Josie went to work at Guadalupe Medical Center after graduating from high school in the early 70s. She had continued to work in dietary at the hospital with more than 40 years of service. Josie thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Albert, Manuel and Raul; sister, Elsie; nephew, Michael and grandmother, Paula.
Survivors are her mother, Juanita Campos; brother, Frank Campos and wife, Diane; sister, Elida Rico and husband, Alvaro; nieces and nephews: Sonny, Adrian, Daniel, Rita, Malerie, Gino and Eric; great-nieces and nephews: Aaron, Arik, Anthony, Adrian, Jr, Sabastian, Nicholas-Ray, Alana, Gionni, Giorgio and Sophia and great-great-nephew, Ethan.
Honorary pallbearers are Alana, Arik, Aaron, Sophia, Nicholas-Ray and Ethan.
