Joseph Michael Jacobo

Joseph Michael Jacobo, 43, former resident of Carlsbad, passed away January 29, 2011 at Providence Memorial Hospital, El Paso, TX. A Memorial service is scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Voncile King and Rev. Thomas E. Ford officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Joseph Michael Jacobo was born November 29, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jake and Cecelia (Rodriguez) Jacobo. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1985. Joe attended ITT in Arizona for a year, he returned to Carlsbad where he worked for the Carlsbad Current-Argus. Joe later moved to El Paso to work for El Paso, Inc. as a graphics artist. He was a talented musician playing the guitar and piano. Joe always enjoyed spending time with his family and especially the love of his life, Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include companion: Judy Herrera of El Paso, TX; daughter; Alex Jacobo of El Paso, TX; former wife: Rheala Jacobo of El Paso, TX; brother; John Jacobo and wife Loretta of Albuquerque, NM; sisters; Clara Hargrove and husband, Dwayne, Pam Duran and husband, Merced, Elizabeth Griffin and Bernadine McKibben and husband, Wayne all of Carlsbad; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
