Jose B. Yrigollen

Jose B. Yrigollen, 85, of Ortega Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 2:30 PM, at Iglesia de Cristo with Antonio Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jose B. Yrigollen was born January 21, 1926 in Artesia, New Mexico to Pedro R. and Toribia (Bustillos) Yrigollen. He served his country in the US Army during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. After returning to Carlsbad, Jose married Maria Chavez on August 17, 1945 and they were married for 59 years until her death in 2004. Jose drove a cement truck for Rose Gravel, SE Redimix and later for LaFarge. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria; brothers: David Yrigollen, Antonio Yrigollen, Eulogio Yrigollen, Jesus Yrigollen; sisters: Teresa Estrada, Maria Medrano and Fausta Yrigollen. Survivors are three daughters: Josie Tabor and husband, Claude of Carlsbad, NM, Corina Yrigollen of Carlsbad, NM, Christina Yanez of Carlsbad, NM; son, Johnny Y. Barrera of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Terri Fisher and husband, Eric, Frank Aranda, Jr., Capt. Jose A. Yrigollen and wife, Sandra, Johnny Wilson, Robby Barrera, Nico Barrera, Dylan Barrera, Yvette Yrigollen, Cris Aranda, Catarino Ramirez, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Annette Sears, Katherine Fisher, Ryan Aranda, Madeline Aranda, Bianca Aranda, Marissa Aranda, Cassie Yrigollen, Corey Moreno, Kaikoa Buendia, Kailei Buendia, Brandon Buendia, Mireya Ramirez, Nicolas Yrigollen, Erin Fisher , Josh Fisher; great-great-grandchildren: Troy, Tatiana, Malaqai; sister: Belen Y. Hernandez of Miramonte, CA, and his special little chihuahua dog, PeeWee. Pallbearers will be Cassie Yrigollen, Jose A.
