John L. Croley, 72, of South Thomason Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2012, 10:30 AM, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ with Phillip Lairson officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
John L. Croley was born December 20, 1939 in Georgiana, Alabama to Elbert Houston and Ruth (Waller) Croley. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1962. He attended NMSU in Las Cruces, NM, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Math/Physics. John taught 8th grade math in Alamogordo, NM. He married Duberta Smith on August 22, 1970 in Carlsbad at Fox and Lake Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Duberta I. Croley of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Debra Ann Croley and Hector Manuel Quijada of Carlsbad, NM; grandson, Manuel Rafael Quijada of Carlsbad, NM; two sisters: Shirley Wittiker of Ada, Oklahoma, Linda Napier of Dallas, TX and nieces, nephews and cousins.
