John "Jack" B. Witt

John B. "Jack" Witt, Jr., 57, of West Texas Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 20, 2009 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorial Services are scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2009, 1:00 PM, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald L. Harden officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. John B. "Jack" Witt, Jr. was born July 3, 1952 in Mena, Arkansas to John B. and Robbie (Smith) Witt. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Teresa Witt and his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Linda M. Witt; two daughters: Crystal Ballard of Oklahoma, Rita Witt and husband, J.T. Shugart of Eunice, NM; six grandchildren: Hazel Witt, Jarren Shugart, Vincena Calloway, Jalen Shugart, Heaven Green, Gerrika Hughes; four brothers: Clem Witt and wife, Kathy, David Witt and wife, Jill, Bill Witt and wife Anna, Dale Witt.
