JoAnn Collier was born December 26, 1933 in Brownfield, Texas to Pindall B. and Shirley (Ratcliff) Harred. She married Homer Collier on August 1, 1951 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. They moved to Carlsbad in 1956. JoAnn was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer and brother, Kenneth Harred.
Survivors include son, Steven and wife, Allison of Austin, TX; daughter, Denise Williams and husband, Dan of Corona, NM; sisters: Mildred Pollock of Lubbock, TX, Betty Creamer of Warren, TX; 9 grandchildren: Rachel, Scott, Sarah, Joel, Lori, Ginna, Zoe, Harper and Raine. Others who mourn her loss are Cheryl and Richard Montoya of Carlsbad, NM and Trella Collier of Round Rock, TX.
According to JoAnn's wishes, private burial has taken place and no memorial service will be held. Denton-Wood Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
