Jimmy Rye, 29, of Gomez Road, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. There will be no services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jimmy Lee Rye was born January 27, 1988 in Big Spring, Texas to Ray and LeeAnn (Neill) Rye. He loved wrestling, bowling, climbing trees, and playing with his nieces and nephews. Jimmy also volunteered feeding the homeless every Saturday. He was a Christian. Jimmy is preceded in death by his son, Tracen Rye. He is survived by his parents Ray and LeeAnn Rye of Carlsbad; brothers: Shawn Rye and wife, Amber of Coahoma, TX., Richard Rye and wife, Leda of Carlsbad; sister: Sharon Rankin and husband, Caleb of Carlsbad; daughter: Taylor Rye of Carlsbad; stepson: Chase Foster of Carlsbad; nieces and nephews: Dax Rye, Hunter Rankin, Laken Rye, Sophia Rye, Jovi Rye, Lexi Rankin, and J.C.
