Jimmy "Grasshopper" Pryor, 76 of Queen, NM, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services, as per his request. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jimmy "Grasshopper" Pryor was born December 15, 1939 in Artesia, NM to James and Mary (Taylor) Pryor. He worked at Amax Potash for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Jimmy and his wife, Sharon moved to Queen where he was fire chief of the Queen Volunteer Fire Department. He loved traveling the country and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jimmy never met a stranger. He loved his grandchildren and will be missed. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sharon Pryor of Queen, NM; daughters, Teresa and Stacey; sons: Rusty, Vince and Rowland; brother, Doug Pryor of Riverton, Wyoming and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
