Obituary Jimmy M. Franco, Sr., (Grizzly), 65, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jimmy M. Franco was born February 15, 1953 to Annie Duncan and Elauterio Franco. He attended Carlsbad Senior High School and enlisted in the Army after graduation. He worked for IMC Potash Mines for many years and retired working in the oilfields. Jimmy loved riding his Harley with the Brotherhood 74, shooting guns and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Linda (Lawrence) Franco; son, Jimmy M. Franco, Jr.; daughter, Lavonda Franco; sisters: Martha and Alfredo Munoz, Becky and Joe Lopez, Margie and Jesus Gonzalez; granddaughters: Gizmo Jefferson, Shyshy, Sissy, CJ, Jojo Franco; grandsons: Logan, Jimmy III, Cyrus Franco and Austin Blair; great-grandson, Flick Cabezuela; several nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Duncan; father, Elauterio Franco; sisters, Yolanda Franco, Josie Aranda; brother, Robert Franco and daughter, Yolanda Franco.
