Jimmie L. Fine

Jimmie L. Fine, Sr., 72, of Jewel Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, November 29,2013 at his home. No visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Denton Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Goodwin and Pastor Mark Devine officiating. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jimmie Lee Fine was born June 24, 1941 in Ellensburg, WA. He married Jewell Biggs in July of 1959. Jimmie served in the US Navy during Vietnam and was aboard numerous ships during his twenty years of service. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation for several years as a firefighter. Jimmie also drove a truck cross country for several years before his retirement. He had a love for animals and always enjoyed riding his horses. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Verla Morris and several aunts and uncles. Survivors are his wife, Jewell Fine of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Lorrie Broyles and husband, Nathan of Carlsbad, NM; two sons: Jimmie Lee Fine Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Charles Wayne Fine of Big Spring, TX; grandchildren: Jason Lee Fine and wife, Sandy, Mandy Hayes, Suzylynn Watham and husband, Kevin, Crystal Marie Fine and Jessie, Jennifer Fine, Deserie Phillips; great-grandchildren: Audrea, Desera, Natalee, Bubba, Makayla, Hailey, Logan, Ashlynn, Preston, Bryson, Diamond, Chloe, Branson; sister, Vesta Geer and husband, Don; nephew, Joseph Geer and numerous cousins.
