Jim B. Hulse, 88, of Mountain Shadow, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his home.
There will be no visitation cremation will take place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, April 2, 2012, 10:30 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Hulse and Rev. Dan Boyd officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Jim B. Hulse was born February 4, 1924 in Throckmorton, TX to Talvo R. and Lola (Bailes) Hulse. He graduated from Throckmorton High School in 1940. Jim received his bachelors from Texas A & M where he graduated Phi Beta Kapa. He served his country as a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Jim married Juanelle Brockman on October 28, 1944 in Denton, Texas. He spent his life farming and ranching in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas during which time he earned his masters in Natural Science from Oklahoma State University. In addition, Jim served as President of Production Credit Associations in Roswell and Sweetwater, TX. They moved to Carlsbad in 2000. Jim always enjoyed having coffee with the Power House Coffee Group, playing bridge and dancing with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, T. R. Hulse; sisters: Tess Davis and Betty Branson.
He is survived by his wife, Juanelle Hulse of Carlsbad, NM; son, Gary Hulse and wife, Connie of Enid, Oklahoma; two daughters: Deanna Garringer and husband, Mike of Carlsbad, NM, Debra Bowles and husband, Ken of Orlando, Florida; 8 grandchildren: Jeremy Hulse and wife, Cassie of San Francisco, CA, Blake Hulse and wife, Sara of Tulsa, OK, Creighton Hulse and wife, Amanda of Grapevine, TX, Trent Hulse of Oklahoma City, OK, Skyler Garringer and wife, Kimmi of Albuquerque, NM, Brittany Garringer of Lewisville, TX, Hannah Bowles of Orlando, FL, Mackenna Bowles of Orlando, FL; great-grandson, Hudson Hulse.
Honorary pallbearers will be Power House Coffee Group.
