Jesus M. Acosta Adame

Jesus M. Acosta Adame, 66, of Ironwood Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home followed by a vigil at 6:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, March 25, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating.  Cremation will take place following the service.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jesus was born January 11, 1958 in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guerrero and Aida (Adame) Acosta.  At 18 years old, he married the love of his life, Lucia Pando in Ojinaga, Chihuahua.  Jesus served as president of Banca Serfin Bank in Ojinaga over 25 years.  After retiring, they immigrated to the United States in 2001.  Jesus worked in the oilfield industry for ten years.  Most recently, he worked at Bobcat where he was a valuable employee helping his daughter, Melissa.  Jesus was a car and bike enthusiast where he was active in car clubs and would always return every year to his hometown for the annual gathering.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia Acosta Pando; father, Guerrero Acosta and brother, Luiz Acosta Adame.

Survivors are his son, Guillermo Guerrero Acosta Pando and wife, Olga; daughter, Melissa A. Acosta Pando; son, Jesus A. Acosta Pando; grandchildren: Kevin I. Acosta, Vivian Lucia Acosta, Alexis V. Acosta Rico, Angelie J. Acosta Rico; great-grandchildren: Nykhael I. Acosta, Izmael T. Saiz, Enzo Trujillo, Adelina Trujillo; mother, Aida Acosta Adame; brothers and sisters: Alberto Acosta Adame, Aida Serrano, Guadalupe Acosta Adame, Jose Domingo Acosta Adame, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Guillermo Guerrero Acosta Pando, Jesus Acosta Pando, Kevin I. Acosta, Alberto Acosta Adame, Alejandro Adame, and Rick Serrano.
