Obituary Jesus Flaco Fierro Will I stand for you Jesus.. or in awe of you be still... Jesus Flaco Fierro beloved servant of our Lord went to sit before" The Great King" on March 20, 2018. Visitation will be Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7:00PM, Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church and burial will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery. Jesus known as "Hermano Fierro, Brother Jesse, Chuy and Joe" was born on April 18, 1929 to Meliton and Ysabel Fierro in Carlsbad, NM. Jesus (Chuy) married Laurencia (Wencha) Guerra on March 15,1947. Jesus was employed by Sam Thomas Motor Co. for many years afterwards going to work for Mississippi Chemical. He retired in 2000 and went to work for The Carlsbad Municipal Schools as a crossing guard at Eddy Elementary, where he loved waving at all the people that would pass by. Jesus loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was the Pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista-Carlsbad. Living his life for Christ was his passion. He loved preaching the word of God and many times was called to various churches in southeastern NM to spread the gospel. Jesus was a member of The Pecos Valley Association, Hispanic Baptist Convention and Asociacion Berea. He enjoyed more than anything Fifth Sunday Singing in various churches around the Carlsbad area. He also enjoyed the luncheons and dinners in Artesia with his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus loved to watch many sports including being an avid Cowboy fan, and enjoyed watching western movies, The Andy Griffith Show, Heat of the Night and Texas Walker Ranger. Jesus was ALWAYS, ALWAYS praying for his family and friends. Always on phone conversations asking for the well being of his grandkids and great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife Laurencia (Wencha) Guerra Fierro, his parents Meliton and Ysabel Fierro. Two brothers: Tony Fierro and Matilde Garcia. Two sisters: Josefina Navarro and Seferina Navarrete. He is survived by two sisters: Rosa Flores and Manuela Garcia. He leaves behind his most precious gifts the Lord honored him with: Daughter, caretaker and "sparring partner" Juanita Guerra Fierro of Carlsbad, Son, Jesus G, Fierro and wife Sally of Carlsbad, Daughters, Anna M. Fierro, Marysville, WA, Roxie Franco and husband Joe of Pasco, WA, Laurencia A. Boucher and husband Steve of Richland WA. Grand Children: James Navarrete and wife Lisa of Marysville, WA, Michael Navarrete of Marysville, WA, Roxanna Franco of Pasco, WA, Marisa DeAnda of Carlsbad, NM, Aaron Fierro and wife Becky of Carlsbad, Taina Shanley and husband Keith of Carlsbad, NM, Jared Navarrete and wife Sarah of Marysville, WA, Joshua Kendall and wife Rachael of Lacey, WA, Josef Kendall of Evansville, IN, Joey Franco of Pasco, WA, and Marcy Fierro of Carlsbad. Great Grand Children: Michaleigh DeAnda, Amarah Kendall, Layla Shanley, Elena Navarrete, Owen Navarrete, Valek Kendall, Mikey DeAnda, Jameson Shanley, Gabriel Navarrete, Milianna DeAnda, and Alissandra Fierro. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
