Jerry Hand

Jerry Hand, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at his home in Carlsbad, NM.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM with Chaplain Dennis Durfee officiating.

Jerry graduated from CHS in 1966. Jerry married Diane Whiting. He worked for the railroad until retiring. Jerry worked at Jaime’s welding for many years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling his dogs.

Jerry was raised in the Primitive Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He always said pray for what you want or need but accept God’s will.

Jerry is survived by his son, Marty Hand; daughters: Lisa Hand, Miranda Hand; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Rhoda Allbright and husband, Barry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane Whiting Hand; daughter, Michelle Hand; grandson, Brian Hand; brothers: Otto Gail Hand, Thomas Hand; sisters: Bette Chenault, and Vicky Jo Hand.
