Jeannette Hansen

Jeannette Hansen, 89, of Austin, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Jeannette was born on February 24, 1933, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Chester and Ann Thacker.

There will be no visitation, and a graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM with Terah Harris officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeannette was a licensed practical nurse, and spent many years working at the North State Hospital in Vernon, TX. She was a loving and caring person, who always went above and beyond in attending to the needs of others. Her ministry was helping those in need. Jeannette was a faithful follower of Christ, and was a longtime member of the Fox and Lake Church of Christ in Carlsbad, NM and the Southwest Church of Christ in Austin, TX. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her father, Chester Thacker; mother, Ann (Bradley) Thacker; husband, Leroy Hansen; daughter, Stephanie Hansen; and two sisters: Reba Robertson and Celenia Harris.

Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Debra Hansen; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Ramsey of Carlsbad, NM; dear friends Charles and Bobbie Cauley of Austin, TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
