Jean Love

Jean Love, 89, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away April 25, 2023 at her daughter's home in Carlsbad. Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at South Plains Church of Christ, 6802 Elkhart Ave., Lubbock, TX with Jim Brewer, officiating.

Jean was born January 29, 1934 in Clarendon, Texas to Alford and Lucy (Tucker) Langford and graduated from high school in 1952.  She married Doyle Love December 26, 1952.  They lived in several west Texas towns as well as New York state, before relocation back to Lubbock in 1985.  Jean enjoyed caring for many foster kids over the years.  She also worked and supported Doyle with his accounting firm.  Jean was known to read her Bible daily and often sent cards to countless family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle Love; son, Terry Love; daughter-in-law, Connie Love; daughter, Dana Britton and siblings: Dorothy Perdue, Kenneth Langford, Irene Burnett, Bernice Dudley, Foy Langford, Wilma Dudley, Hazel Roberts, Delbert Langford and Irma Rexrode.

Survivors are her daughter, Annette Jackson and husband, Rick; son-in-law, Perry Britton; grandchildren: Jason Love and wife, Teresa, Colby Love and wife, Hope, Ryan Love and fiancé, Tonya, Brandi Hogan and husband, Ken, Meagan Carpenter, Eric Reynolds and wife, Jessica, Brent Jackson and fiancé, Megan, Blayne Jackson, Justin Britton and wife, Ramona and Ashley Kendrick and husband, Charles; great-grandchildren: Jaydon, Alana, Tiffany, R.J., Mitch, Shaylen, Macy, Shelbea, Emilea, Colten, Clayton, Preston, Dalton, Aubrey, Loreli, Cameron, Amber and Penny; great-great-grandsons: Joshua and Matthew; sisters: Bonnie Stone Keever, Bess Reed and numerous nieces and nephews.
