Jean Cochran Anderson

Jean Cochran Anderson, 68, former resident, passed away December 5, 2011 at her home in Artesia, NM. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Veilleux, Lakeview Christian Home, officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jean Cochran Anderson was born September 9, 1943 in Hagerman, New Mexico to T. P. "Shorty" and Clara (Lewis) Cochran. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1962. She was a waitress at the Deluxe Caf for many years. Jean worked for Lakeview Christian Home and St. Francis Hospital for several years. She was married to John F. Anderson over 25 years at the time of his death in 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F. Anderson and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by son, Terrance McGonagill of Carlsbad, NM; daughters, Clara Jean White and husband, Luke of Carlsbad, NM, Ella Mae Stufft and husband, Robert of Artesia, NM; four step-children: Frank Anderson of Rockport, TX, Cindy Best of Las Vegas, NV, Steve Anderson of Odessa, TX, Pamela Clay Mann of Artesia, NM; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Mann, Susan Mann.
