Jay B. Leck

Jay B. Leck, 61, of Loving, NM, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015. There will be no visitaiton, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David W. Rogers officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jay B. Leck was born February 26, 1954 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to J. B. and Betty Leck. He married Maryanne Morgan on February 26, 1979. Jay was a hard working man and spent the past nine years working at New Mexico Salt Mine in Loving. He was a wonderful artist and his favorite pastime was Native American bead work. Jay enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time out doors. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors are his wife, Maryanne Leck of Roswell, NM; daughters: Jayanne Leck of Albuquerque, NM, Marie Manning of Roswell, NM; grandson, Ronnie Jean Amestoy; mother, Betty Ireland of California; sister Velta Daigneault of Cambodia; brother, Scott Ireland of California and a niece and nephew.
