Jaunetta M. Parker

Jaunetta M. Parker, 87, passed away July 29, 2024 in Carlsbad, NM. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Carlsbad Cemetery with James Crews officiating.

Jaunetta was born May 3, 1937 in Electra, Texas to John and Vesta (McClain) Stuart. She graduated from Electra High School. Jaunetta married Floyd Parker August 16, 1957 and they moved to Carlsbad in 1961. She enjoyed kids and babysat numerous children throughout the years. Jaunetta worked at Allsup’s over ten years. She was an avid quilter. Jaunetta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Parker; daughter, Kathy Peters; grandson, Jeffrey Peters; two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors are her son, Lester Parker and wife, Debbi; daughter, Becky East and husband, Charles; son, Kenneth Parker and wife, Belinda; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Wanda Pfnister, Betty Wilson, and Caroline Byrd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Parker, Lester Parker, Keith Murray, Jason Parker, Stuart Parker, and Nick Parker. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodlife Assisted Living, 801 W. Cherry Lane, Carlsbad, NM 88220
