Janice Kay Pilkington was born March 13, 1962 in Leadville, Colorado to Jerald Dale Pilkington and Marjorie Jeanne Kempkus. She later moved to New Mexico and found her final resting place in Carlsbad, New Mexico on November 12, 2017. She loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time with family and many summers at Elephant Butte Lake and Brantley Lake. She spent her days in the company of her children and her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Her life revolved around sharing love and laugher with everyone she knew. She really had a knack for crafts, especially crochet. She is preceded in death by her parents, best friend and brother James Busch, and her beloved sister Shari Miller. She is survived by mom Mary Busch, siblings Vicki Cotton and husband Jack, Ron Pilkington and wife Marla, Judy Pilkington, Debra Ellis, Michael Pilkington, Lenore Bryant and wife Deb, and friend and father to her children, Gerold Busch; children Pamela Trujillo and husband Mark, Carmen Busch and fiance Travis, Gabriel Busch and wife Merica, James Busch and Mandy Busch, Donald Busch, Katelynn Weems and husband Timothy. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren Scyla, Heithe, Passion, Mathue, Dante, Makayla, Hayli, Cody, Jamie, Aryan, Emily, Liam, AnnaBell, Sai, Tanner, Maxx, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her best friend for life Sylvia Evans and daughters who considered her a mom, and the many others who called her mom. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, 1001 N. Canal Street in Carlsbad. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
