Jane T. Guevara

Jane T. Guevara, 83, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away peacefully Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home. Visitation will be at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 5:00 to 6:00 PM and vigil to follow at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery.

Jane was born March 28, 1940 in Carlsbad, NM to Jose and Isabel Trevino.  She met and married the love of her life, Antonio M. Guevara, Sr. on March 11, 1956. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Antonio M. Guevara, Sr.; son, Tony Guevara, Jr.; grandson, LeeRoy Guevara; brother, Elisandro Trevino; sisters Elisema Trevino, Cecelia Castaneda and nephew, Danny Trevino.

Survivors are her children: Maria “Bodi” Guevara, Selina Guevara and Henry Lopez, Orlando “Erly” Guevara, Cory Guevara and husband, Leroy, Rolando “Roly” Guevara, Valerie Branson and husband, Scott, Ervell “Obbie” Guevara and Mario Guevara; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Joe Trevino and wife Diane, Rocky Trevino; sisters, Elvira Rodriguez and husband Ernesto, Dorothy Jones and husband Kent, Terry Santos and numerous nieces and nephews.
