James “Jimmy” Wallace of Mesa Street Carlsbad NM, passed away July 28, 2021, at home with friends by his side. Jimmy was born in Red Jacket WV on July 27, 1957, to Jack and Wilma Wallace. The family moved to Carlsbad in 1960. Jimmy made friends easily and there was always a baseball, basketball or football game to be played with the neighborhood kids.
The term, “Jack of All Trades” fit Jimmy well. He could fix anything. He spent many years working in the potash mines before becoming a mechanic at various trucking companies. He never met an object meant for the trash that he couldn’t rehabilitate. He loved his stuff (junk)!
He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, brother Jack (Donny) Wallace, nephews Jackie Justice, Lynn Wallace, James Robert Haupt, and niece Tammy Workman. Surviving to always remember him are his daughter, Trudy Ann; sisters Patsy Justice, husband Herman; Doris Arnold, husband Carl; and Sandra Timberlake: nieces Debbie Guerra; Diana Caldwell; Kimberly Kilgore; and Lisa Wallace Ryan: nephews Joe Chumley, Alan Timberlake and Terry Wallace; as well as four grandchildren and numerous great nieces and nephews. Fur babies: Feisty and Diamond.
A celebration of life Service will be held at Loving Baptist Church August 14th, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jimmy Ryan Officiating.
