James "Smoke" Hogue

James "Smoke" Hogue, 60, of Farris Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 24, 2009 at his home. Private memorial services will take place at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. James "Smoke" Hogue was born September 1, 1948 in Ottawa, Kansas to James Robert and Marjorie Viola (Clark) Hogue. He ranched early in his life and more recently worked as a saddle maker. Smoke also worked as a cook. He is survived by twin sons, Justin Hogue and wife, Jennifer of Lewisville, TX and Jeramie Hogue of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Hope Hogue, Austin Hogue and Connor Lloyd; parents, James and Margorie Hogue of Las Cruces, NM; brother, Ty Hogue of Burlington, WI; sister, Heidi Martinez of Las Cruces, NM.
