James Ross (JR) Biscaino

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James “JR” Ross Biscaino Martinez, on April 3rd, at the age of 43. James will be remembered for his world-class personality, bright smile, and his distinct laugh. James knew no strangers, and every friend was considered family. 

James was born on December 19,1981, at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Raymond and Debra Biscaino. He grew up in Carlsbad and had a wide range of friends he made through school, work, and his various hobbies. Any one of James’ friends and family will forever remember the energy he brought to any occasion. 

He enjoyed meeting people and was always ready to go out and have fun. He enjoyed cooking out, eating out with family, and working. James will be missed by numerous people whose lives he touched.

James is survived by his children, Tegan, Teran, Talia, Tania, James, and Jaelynn. Bonus daughters: Chrishell and Leeaura. Grandchildren Azriel-Ray and Athena Ranee. Father Raymond Biscaino, Mother Debra Biscaino, brother Samuel and Mark Biscaino, sister Christina Moisa & spouse Mark Moisa, nephews Nick, Max, and Mark; nieces Bailey and Kendall; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Maria (Vichy) Biscaino, his grandpa Samuel M. Martinez, his aunt Bertha Salinas, and his bonus grandpa Gilbert Pompa.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2025 at Word of Life in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

We will miss you dearly, James. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
