James Edward "Mr. Ed" Wooten, 71, of Sandoval Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 5, 2010 at his home.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
James Edward Wooten was born January 6, 1939 in Summerville, GA to James William and May (Moore) Wooten. He moved to Carlsbad in the early 80's where he has worked as a Master Plumber. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters: Linda Brasket of Oak Harbor, WA, Debbie Hawkley and husband, Kevin of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren: Daniel, Dusty, David, Dacia, Shailynn; seven great-grandchildren: Cole, Finley, Zoe, Asher, Kiya, Dillon, Wyatt; three brothers: Dewey Wooten and wife, Gladys, Paul Perry, Barry Wayne Wathall; two sisters: Mary Faye King, Rose Marie King and neighbor and longtime friend, Pete Smart.
