James “Jimmy” Robert Gibson entered life in Coleman, TX on April 18, 1934. He entered heaven on May 14, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Blodgett Street Baptist Church with Pastor David Prell officiating.

Our husband, dad, grandpa and g-pa was the best thing that ever happened to us. We were truly blessed to have him 89 years. He will be dearly missed. Jimmy loved to laugh and make others laugh. He married our mom and gg on March 26, 1954, and they were by each other’s side for 69 years. He loved driving a truck, sometimes took family with him. He loved God, his church, and our family.

Preceding him in death was his father, Si Gibson; mother, Ruth Gibson; sisters: Mary Ruth Kepner, Betty Jean Scott, and Peggy Gibson; and grandson, Ryan Gibson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Gibson; son, Steve Gibson and wife, Karen; daughter, Debbie Felker; grandsons: Chris Gibson and wife, Lynett, Jimmy Brown and wife, Christina; granddaughter-in-law, Cody Heil; great grandchildren: Hunter, Cody, and Hannah Brown; Wyette, Cole, Shyann, and Michael Gibson; and Grayson Heil; great-great granddaughter: Kalani Brown; brother, Barclay Gibson and wife, Jan; and sister, Ann Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Hunter Brown, Cody Brown, Hannah Brown, Wyette Gibson, Cole Gibson and Michael Gibson.
