James "Jim" O. Tippin

James "Jim" O. Tippin, 81, of Loving, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. James "Jim" O. Tippin was born April 9, 1935 in Windom, Minnesota to Leonard L. and Freda (Norton) Tippin. He was a resident of Loving since December of 1977. Jim owned and operated Tips Auto Clean from 1977 until 1990. He was a coin collector and he loved working in his garden. Jim loved making breakfast on Saturday morning for his grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved companion, Pepper. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Linda Tippin, stepdaughters: Dawn Aragon and Ernest McIntire of Loving, NM.; Ronda Gutierrez and husband, Gavino of Loving, NM.; Terri Cecil of Loving, NM.; Belinda Ashton and husband, Neil of Fillmore, UT.; sister: Helen Borton of Indiana, twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gavino Gutierrez, Jr., Albert Aragon, Jr., Jose Pelon Nieto, LeeRay Florez, Tony McGilvra, and Perfecto Duran III. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
