James T. 'Jackie' Griffin, III

James T. “Jackie” Griffin, III, 73, of Carlsbad, passed away November 18, 2021 at his home. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Monday, December 6, 2021, 1:00 PM at Denton Wood Funeral Home chapel. Jackie was born October 14, 1948 in Carlsbad, NM. He attended Carlsbad schools and worked in the oil field for many years. Jackie was preceded in death by his mother, Janell Golden Shields and daughter, Dawn. Survivors are his daughters, Mandy Bennett and Heather Nuncio; grandchildren; brother, Gary Shields; sisters, Linda Cooper, Tina McLemore, Cheryl Tracy and Tammie Rollins.
