Jaime Moreno Minjares

Jaime Moreno Minjares, 56, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away in his home on May 27, 2023. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM followed by a Rosary from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery in Loving, NM.

Jaime was born on December 30, 1966, in Carlsbad, NM to Efren and Carmen Minjares. He was raised in Loving, NM where he met the love of his life Jackie who he’s been married to for 22 years. Another love of Jaime’s was fishing and hunting. He was known around the community for the size of fish he would regularly catch. He was also known for his talent of making arrow heads. Any day he spent outdoors made him a happy man.

He is survived by his wife Jaqueline Minjares; sons, Jaime Minjares, Jr., and John Paul Minjares; daughter, Adelida Minjares; sisters, Carmen Vasquez, Josie Perez, Esperanza Rico, Hilda Hernandez, Estela Venegas, Patricia Hernandez, and Gloria Minjares; brother, Efren Minjares; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jaime is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Juan and Raul Minjares; and sisters Elvira and Marta Rico.
