Obituary Jackie Lee Harrel, 67, of Farris Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Carlsbad Medical Center. A private gravesides services will be held at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico with Pastor Dave Rogers officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jackie Lee Harrel, was born November 9, 1953 in Torrance, California to Jackie Leroy and Lorena (Thornton) Harrel. Jackie was born in California he came to Carlsbad in the late 1960s with his family -his dads mother Elizabeth was living here at the time. He was employed by Roland Trucking, for only couple of years. He then started working for Kerr McGee potash mines for 9 years. Then moving to Fresno, California for 1 years working them as self employed returning back to Carlsbad, driving for various trucking companys, also working as a handly man for various jobs. He also worked for WAG as a driver -finally retiring he had retired many times-as he could not stop working. He loved friendly debating and logical thinking he would bend over backward to help people. Jackie was preceded in death by partents and son: Johnny Wayne Harrel. Survivors are wife: JoReena Harrel; sons: Bobbie Harrel and wife Danielle and Shawn Harrel; 6 grandchildren; brothers: Donald Harrel and wife, Diane and Roy Harrel.
